Cartolas advise Caboclo’s removal to defend himself, but CBF president resists | soccer

Pressured by allegations of sexual and moral harassment of an employee, who reached the Brazilian Football Ethics Commission channel and also the CBF governance sector, Rogério Caboclo resists taking a leave of absence from office. He has heard calls from his peers and also from football influentials – such as former president Ricardo Teixeira – to step aside and defend himself against the accusations.

Caboclo is not convinced that he should leave the presidency, even trapped after turbulent weeks at the helm of the CBF – and more serious accusations revealed by the give on Friday. He believes he will prove his innocence internally and in the Brazilian Football Ethics Commission.

In case of leave or leave, the CBF statute, in article 61, provides that the president appoints his successor. The proposal to Rogério Caboclo goes through a solution in this regard, with the alternative of the vice presidents converging on a possible temporary succession.

The statute of the CBF also says: in the event of a vacancy in the position of President, “at any time during the term”, the oldest vice president takes office, who must call the General Electoral Assembly within 30 days to elect the new President for the complement of the term of office, in which the Vice-Presidents may compete exclusively, including the interim President among them.”

The process is being analyzed by the Ethics Committee, chaired by former São Paulo judge Carlos Renato Ferreira. The Code of Ethics that governs Brazilian football provides for penalties of removal, fines, among other sanctions, but it is a time-consuming process in itself.

Rogério Caboclo’s defense claims that “he has never committed any type of harassment. And he will prove it in the investigation by the CBF Ethics Commission.”

The complaint was filed early this Friday afternoon at the CBF Ethics Commission and the Governance and Compliance Board, as reported by the give. The abuses allegedly occurred against an employee, the plaintiff, who detailed episodes she had experienced since April last year.

In the document, she claims to have evidence of all the facts narrated and asks that the leader be investigated and punished with removal from the entity and also by the State Court. Account to suffer constraints in travels and meetings with the president and in the presence of directors of CBF.

In the complaint, the employee details the day when the manager, after successive abusive behavior, asked if she “wanked”. Among other extremely serious episodes, according to the employee, Caboclo tried to force her to eat a dog biscuit, calling her a “bitch”.

She also reports that Caboclo tried to prohibit her from having friendships and relationships with people from the CBF, in addition to offering her money to buy clothes.
