The prices of the PS5 and the Xbox Series X leaked this weekend on the Carrefour site. The supermarket has posted pre-order pages showing not only the price of the two consoles, but also the accessories of the PlayStation 5.

We already know practically everything about PS5 and some Xbox Series X, but prices remain one of the few information that has not yet been formalized. The Carrefour site has just unveiled them, by mistake? Either way, this is huge information for the entire gaming community. A pre-order page put online a little too early lifts the veil on the price of the two consoles, but also those of the accessories of the PlayStation 5.
Xbox Series X reportedly cost $ 100 less than PS5
The Sony console is displayed at a price of 499 € for the standard version and of € 399 for the PS5 Digital Edition. The Xbox Series X as for it proposed at the price of 399 €. Microsoft has therefore learned the lesson of the past and intends to keep its promise to strike a blow in the field of prices. As a rumor announced a few weeks ago, the Xbox Series X would be sold 100 € less than the PS5 and at the same price as the console version from Sony without a physical drive.
Let’s come to the accessories of the PS5. The PULSE 3D wireless headset, HD Camera and multimedia remote control announced to accompany the console are all displayed at a price of 49.90 €. same for me the new DualSense controller. Obviously, it is impossible that they are all offered at this price. Information to be taken with a grain of salt. But it seems that the price of accessories has been set up to serve as placeholders (information displayed for reference while waiting for the real product sheet).
Dates for pre-orders
The other information to remember from the pre-order pages on Carrefour is the closing date for pre-orders: it is set at October 3, 2020 for the PS5 and September 13, 2020 for the Xbox Series X. It seems unlikely given that both consoles are due in November at the earliest. This could also be purely indicative information while the pages are under development.
Carrefour has since modified the content of its pages to remove this information. Too late, captures are already circulating on the web. If the price of accessories and the reservation dates suggest that these are simple placeholdes, the ps5 price and that of the Xbox Series X are in line with previous leaks. The real information should not be long in coming.
