Carnival Announces Partial Resumption of Operations | PRESENT

As global efforts continue to curb the coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic, global cruise operator Carnival Cruise Lines today unveiled its plan to restart operations in the United States on a limited basis on August 1.

The reopening plan will consist of the activation of eight ships, from Miami (Carnival Horizon, Carnival Magic and Carnival Sensation), Puerto Cañaveral (Carnival Breeze and Carnival Elation) and Galveston, in Texas (Carnival Dream, Carnival Freedom and Carnival Vista).

Meanwhile, the pause in operations and the cancellation of cruises will extend in the markets of North America and Australia until August 31.

Additionally, the line canceled all Alaska Carnival Spirit cruises from Seattle, as well as the Carnival Spirit Vancouver-Honolulu cruise on September 25 and the Honolulu-Brisbane trans-Pacific cruise on October 6.

All Carnival Splendor cruises in Australia from June 19 to August 31 will be canceled.

Travelers who had reservations for these dates will receive an email from Carnival detailing the options for a Combined Future Cruise Credit (FCC) or Onboard Credit (OBC) package. They may also choose a full refund.
