In the middle of the negotiation with the IMF and before imminent maturities, the attorney of the Treasury, Carlos Zanini, I asked the Justice to summon the directors of the organization to testify who approved and granted the loan for the sum of US$44 billion during the government of Mauricio Macri.

Among the names indicated by Zannini for them to testify, that of Roberto Cardarelli, in charge of the direction of the negotiation with the IMF in Argentina when the credit was received.
The judicial approach is also extensible to Yan Carteggio Swallow, Jeta Menkulasi, Marcos Souto, Joyce Cheng Wong, Paolo Dudine Y Romain Veyrune.
At the beginning of 2021, President Alberto Fernndez had asked “the relevant authorities” to “initiate a criminal complaint aimed at determining who have been the authors and participants in the greatest fraudulent administration and the greatest embezzlement of funds that our memory records”.
During the opening of the ordinary sessions of Congress last year, the president questioned the sum of the loan that the Macri government received in 2018, denouncing that it submitted “Argentina in absolute default” and pointing out that “the IMF awarded him a loan of US$55,000 million” which “facilitated the outflow of capital”.
For former representatives before the IMF, the lawsuit has little room to prosper
