Carlo Ancelotti Considered Implementing Goalkeeper Rotation in Second Half of Season

Everything is heading towards the fact that in the second half of the season, Carlo Ancelotti will apply the principle of goalkeeper rotation. In any case, this is what is currently being discussed in the club.

As noted by Defensa Central, the head coach of the Blancos does not see either Andrei Lunin or Kepa Arrizabalaga as a goalkeeper that meets his high standards. At the same time, both have demonstrated a sufficient level of skill and Ancelotti understands the benefits of each. In such a situation, rotation seems to be the most reasonable option.

Meanwhile, at first Kepa enjoyed his absolute trust. This goalkeeper has 15 matches in all tournaments (12 goals conceded, 7 clean sheets). Lunin played 9 matches, missed 6 goals, kept clean sheets in 4 games, and most importantly, he managed to work very well when Ancelotti had practically no substitutions left due to Kepa’s injury.
