Cardholders have to fear for credit

Frankfurt A few days after Wirecard filed for bankruptcy, the consequences for the company’s customers are becoming increasingly clear. In addition to financial start-ups (fintechs), dealers are now turning away from Wirecard and looking for contact with competitors.

Thousands of German consumers and small business owners are also directly affected, although they never deliberately signed a contract with Wirecard. They cannot use their so-called debit cards and in some cases even have to worry about their balances – it is a matter of millions.
