The educational counseling in the canton of Bern is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year. On this occasion, she is planning an anniversary event and a commemorative publication next year. When it was founded in 1920, the advice center for educational issues in the city of Bern was the first institution of its kind in Switzerland. Today it is well established and comprises 14 advice centers throughout the canton.
2020 is a special year for educational counseling in the canton of Bern: it will be 100 years old. Because of the corona pandemic, the educational counseling will not celebrate this anniversary until summer 2021. The Education and Culture Directorate is planning to publish a commemorative publication which honors the achievements of the educational counseling and its historical development process. Individual anniversary events are also planned in the individual educational counseling centers.
