MBR is a format that has been used for a long time and is compatible with many operating systems. But there are limits to the size and ability to handle corrupted data.
GPT is a new standard that offers more stability and precision in data management.
4.Backup Partition Table
MBR has only one MBR partition table itself.
GPT provides backups of the GPT partition table at multiple locations on disk for increased security.
5. Additional data storage
MBR saves additional data in the MBR partition itself.
GPT has additional partitions such as GUID (Globally Unique Identifier) and LBA (Logical Block Addressing) for data management.
Choosing the right model depends on your system needs and usage. GPT is generally the recommended choice on systems that use UEFI and require more flexible and efficient partition management.
Step 7 Make a new simple volume
Step 8 Click next.
Step 9 Choose to adjust the disk size as desired.
Step 10 Click next.
Step 11 Click next.
Step 12 Click Finish and it is considered finished.
