Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH) President Byeon Chang-heum, who was appointed as the next Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, officially stepped down after a retirement ceremony in the auditorium of LH headquarters on the 14th. This resignation ceremony was attended by only the minimum number of executives, considering the corona situation.

LH explained that Mr. Byun took office as the fourth president of LH in April 2019, promoted the residential welfare roadmap, and introduced a new business model for urban regeneration and maintenance projects.

In addition, since the establishment of LH for two years in office, it has provided the largest number of housing for 313,000 households, has designated a new housing site with a size of 14.6 million pyeong including the third new city, and has promoted 35 projects in 19 countries, including the groundbreaking ceremony for the Korea-Myanmar Economic Cooperation Industrial Complex.

President Byun said in his retirement address that day, “I have been engaged in various activities in the real estate field so far, but the 1 year and 7 months I spent at LH have been the most passionate time I have worked with.” “LH will continue to discover and implement models that meet the new needs of the people.
