Faced with the influx of calls, the company uses foreign operators.
“We are overwhelmed by the calls.” Like all airlines in the world, Brussels Airlines is facing an influx of requests for reimbursement of tickets or “rebooking” (postponing a trip canceled on another date) following the forced stop of its flights for three months. With the Covid-19 pandemic, the Belgian company had to cancel tens of thousands of flights. “During the total immobilization period of our planes, from March 18 to June 15, this concerns 1.8 million passengers whose flight was canceled, says spokeswoman Kim Daenen. Since June 15 and until October, we still had to cancel flights, which impacts an additional 785,000 passengers ”.
