Canary Islands, on pre-alert for rains and storms

The General Directorate of Emergencies of the Government of the Canary Islands has declared a pre-alert in response to the yellow warnings issued by the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) for heavy rains and storms on the islands in the coming days.

Specifically, the storm pre-alert affects the entire archipelago and warns of large electrical equipment and hail that may reach up to a centimeter in thickness. In addition, it warns that storms of “higher intensity” could occur locally.
