The Canary Islands have added 159 new positives this Thursday due to coronavirus -77% of them on the island of Tenerife-, which brings the total number of infected in the islands to 58,524 since the pandemic began, while the deceased remain for the second consecutive day at 780 deaths, not having to regret no death in the last hours, according to the balance of data that the Ministry of Health updates every 24 hours.
Thus, of the total number of cases, 1,754 are active (+66), 25 of them in the ICU (-1), 182 remain hospitalized (+3) and 1,547 are at their addresses (+64). In addition, so far 55,990 canaries have received medical discharge.
Refering to Cumulative Incidence (IA) in the Canary Islands, to 7 days It remains in 44.85 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, while to 14 days It stands at 82,86. In addition, to date a total of 1,177,952 PCR tests have been carried out on the islands, with 5.19 percent positive (61,103).
Regarding the cases by islands, Tenerife adds 123 new cases and its accumulated amount to 26,120, of which 1,204 are active (+84), 432 have died and 24,482 have received medical discharge. Lanzarote, for its part, add four new cases and reaches 5,669 accumulated, of which 82 are active (-19), 49 died and 5,538 overcame the disease; while Fuerteventura adds four cases and accumulates 2,455, of which 83 are active (+4) and 2,359 received medical discharge.
La Palma remains with an accumulated of 573, two of them active (-3) and in its count it registers seven deaths and 564 people cured, while El Hierro remains in 372 cases and a single asset, in addition to accounting for four deaths and 367 people who have been discharged; and La Gomera accumulates 244 cases, with 9 active, one death and 234 canaries who overcame the disease.
