“Perspective”, after an almost endless year, many think cynically about the word. But now that the vaccination campaign is progressing – albeit slowly -, according to Inez Germeys, there is indeed a light at the end of the corona tunnel. It is the job of politicians to lead the population towards that end goal.
“Working towards a goal and trying to achieve that goal is what people need to stay motivated.” Professor Germeys is aware that motivation is not very high at the moment. “People are tired of it and that is very understandable.”
There seems to be a dichotomy, with on the one hand people who want to make a final effort and on the other people who can no longer muster the discipline to follow the measures.
