Can Get Rp 19-20 Million a Month, This Is How It Costs To Make SPKLU

PT PLN (Persero) opens opportunities for the general public who are interested in making SPKLU (General Electric Vehicle Charging Station) electric vehicle battery charging facilities, with gross income of up to Rp 19-20 million per month. How much did it cost?

SPKLU is one of the important infrastructures in welcoming the era of electrified vehicles. PLN as the state electricity company, is a company that has the capacity to build SPKLU networks throughout Indonesia.

Executive Vice President of Marketing and Product Development of PT PLN (Persero), Hikmat Drajat said, PLN did not want to monopolize the SPKLU business. Therefore, it is open to establish partnerships with the public in the construction of this facility.

“PLN opens as wide as possible to the public, to investors, to jointly build an electric car ‘SPBU’ partnership (SPKLU). So please register with PLN, choose a location where, we are ready. Imagine PLN is already open as a business partner in the era of electric cars,” said Hikmat at the Perikliindo Electric Vehicle Show (PEVS) 2022 JIExpo arena, Kemayoran (27/7/2022).

In the presentation material presented by Hikmat, there are 6 options for the price of the SPKLU IO2 package or the franchising model. Here are the details:

  1. Medium charging 25 kW (outdoor), package price Rp. 389.4 million, partner fee Rp. 1,350.07/kWh, gross income Rp. 8.1 million/month
  2. Medium charging 25 kW (indoor), package price Rp 361.9 million, partner fee Rp 1,268.33/kWh, gross income Rp 7.6 million/month
  3. Fast charging 50 kW (outdoor), package price Rp 600.6 million, partner fee Rp 1,966.22/kWh, gross income Rp 11.8 million/month
  4. Fast charging 50 kW (indoor), package price Rp 573.1 million, partner fee Rp 1,888.77/kWh, gross income Rp 11.3 million/month
  5. Ultra fast charging >100 kW (outdoor), package price Rp. 1,083.5 million, partner fee Rp. 3,387.28/kWh, gross income Rp. 20.3 million/month
  6. Ultra fast charging >100 kW (indoor), package price Rp. 1,056.0 million, partner fee Rp. 3,306.57/kWh, gross income Rp. 19.8 million/month.

According to Hikmat, the partnership process is quite easy. All of PLN will take care of it, prospective partners only need to deposit initial capital, provide land, they can open an SPKLU business.

The flow is that the banks will provide financing, then the investors will prepare funds and land. Then PLN is responsible for the construction of SPKLU both outdoor and indoor, providing the Charge.IN application, preparing the full operational support process for partners, and processing administration.

“If you want to start, right now, because maybe two, three years from now the franchise will be expensive. Now it’s probably still cheap, because it’s just the beginning,” said Hikmat.
