Camille Lehoux, dean of the Bretons, would have celebrated his 109 years on June 25. He died in the night from Monday to Tuesday, at the nursing home of the Verger des Korrigans, in Penvénan (Côtes-d’Armor) where he resided. “He died in all serenity, in his bed and without realizing it …”, comments a nurse.

A beautiful death for this phenomenon of longevity, born in 1912. He experienced the First World War, of which he retained an intact memory, the epidemic of Spanish flu, then the Second World War and confinement while he was prisoner in camps ravaged by a typhus epidemic.
