Cameron County reported 67 new positive cases of COVID-19 on Monday.
According to a Press release From Cameron County, 36 of the new positive cases reported come from shelters and detention centers for unaccompanied minors.
The press release did not specify when they tested positive. Cameron County reported no new deaths Monday; the COVID-19 death count remains at 1,672.
Since the pandemic began, 41,422 people in Cameron County have tested positive for the virus.
38,948 people have recovered from the virus in the county, according to the news release.
