Cameron County confirmed an additional 47 positive cases of COVID-19 in the county, according to a report released Friday.
No new COVID-19-related deaths were reported in the county.
The current total number of deaths from COVID-19 is 1,895. Of the 47 reported cases, 11 came from shelters and detention centers for unaccompanied minors.
A total of 47,426 people have recovered from the virus in the county, according to the news release.
Vaccination efforts continue throughout Cameron County; currently 79.37% of the population, aged 12 years and over, is fully vaccinated.
