Cambodian Ambassador Launches ‘Destination Cambodia 2024’ Tourism Campaign in French-speaking Europe

Presented in the presence of the Cambodian Ambassador to France David Luythis campaign which lays the foundations of a real marketing and communication strategy aims to “deeply penetrate the tourism market in French-speaking Europe”.

“Cambodia attaches great importance to the French language with nearly 40% of current ministers who master the language of Molière” underlines David Luy who also thanks France for “its support for our candidacy as host country of the summit of the Francophonie in 2026”.

For the diplomat, “Destination Cambodia 2024” makes sense especially as this vast campaign is not yet another focus on the temples of Angkor but seeks to highlight the destination’s more unknown attractions. “It is time to show that Cambodia has all the qualities required to be recognized as a leading tourist destination,” he says.

This campaign, financed by the private sector and supported by various ministries, also benefits from the partnership of Air Asia and Qatar Airways.

Catherine Robinsales representative of the Middle East company, mentions the implementation since last October of a flight between Paris and Phnom Penh, transiting through Doha and Saigon, “a total of 18 hours but which is experiencing increasing traffic”.
