Cancún, Q. Roo, November 5.- Pedro Pablo Elizondo Cárdenas, bishop of the Cancún-Chetumal Diocese, declared that distrust of the government is no excuse to support Acapulco and the towns that were affected by Hurricane Otis.

“There are no excuses for not donating, we cannot say that we do not trust the government, everyone who can has to donate, there is no excuse,” Elizondo Cárdenas declared in an interview at the end of Sunday Mass this Sunday in the cathedral of this city.

He added that there are also private institutions that are collecting aid and there they can bring their supplies for those affected by Hurricane Otis.

“There is no excuse not to donate, if there are people who distrust the government who go to private institutions and do it, the point is to donate,” he reiterated.

He indicated that for their part they are supporting those affected in Acapulco with their “Caritas” foundation.

“We are working to support Acapulco and the affected towns of Guerrero; “The parents are receiving the help in the parishes and they take it to Caritas and they distribute it in trailers, only we don’t crow about the egg, but we should do it,” stood out.

In the end, regarding the support that the municipality and the state government are providing for those affected by Hurricane Otis, he highlighted that all municipalities and states of the Republic have to do so.

“It’s good that the municipality and the state are supporting, because everyone has to support each municipality and all the states,” term.
