With a good week delay, the fourth season in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Warzone was released on Thursday morning (June 11th) via update 1.22.
The start of the fourth season was originally scheduled for June 3, but Activision postponed the start due to the unrest in the USA. Several Dataminer had identified June 10 as a new date, they were one day off. The content has been available for download on all platforms since Thursday at 8 a.m., fans have to do without up to 45 gigabytes of storage space. The developer integrated for the Battle Royale branch Warzone the new mode “Warzone Rumble”, in which 50 players compete against each other on both sides in parts of Verdansk. Participants could put together their own loadouts, vehicles and quick respawn are available.
There are also three events in the game world: At “Jailbreak” all occupants are automatically released from the gulag. The players still in Verdansk will receive a one-minute countdown to have weapons ready for the returnees. With “First Sale” various items are discounted by 80 percent at the buy station for one minute – fallen teammates who are waiting to be reinstated can be brought back free of charge. The event “Sluppy Choppers” sends an armored helicopter over the map that has to be fetched from the sky. Destroying the resilient aircraft creates a lot of loot that can be picked up by all teams.

CR-56 Amax and Fennec via Battle Pass
Traditionally, the map pool for modern warfare grows with each new start of the season, the fourth season is no exception: with “Scrapyard 24/7” (6vs6) the famous airplane cemetery from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 returns as a classic multiplayer map and promises action-packed battles between the wreckage. “Trench Mosh Pit” (2vs2) puts the players’ reaction speed to the test, the gunfight map is dotted with trenches. The mode “Ground War” were around the map “Barakett Promenade” expanded, about which little is known so far. In Warzone, the playlist update includes quads, trios, duos, solos, blood money and the new rumble mode mentioned.
As part of the Battle Pass, two new weapons have been added as rewards for progress. First, the Israeli assault rifle complements CR-56 Amax (Galil ACE) the arsenal, at level 15, the weapon known from the Black Ops series is unlocked for your own loadout – also for holders of the free pass variant. Level 31 must be reached to get the submachine gun Fennec (Vector) to secure. The community darling impresses with an extremely high rate of fire, fans have been demanding the integration of Fennec since the launch of Modern Warfare. In the further course of the season should also a third weapon published, but more detailed information is not yet known.

“Contraband” order and “Mastery Challenges”
Warzone fans can also look forward to a new order: “Contraband” can appear as a continuation of an order that has already been completed; Whoever grabs the suitcase and takes it to the marked location for helicopter pick-up will receive a blueprint weapon as a reward. Season four gives each weapon in Modern Warfare eight challenges that must be completed in order. The “Mastery Challenges” are available as soon as the gold camo has been released and will entice you with four business cards and emblems. In addition to the features of the new season, update 1.22 includes various bug fixes and adjustments – and the familiar ones Operator Captain Pricethat was already announced.
