Call of Duty Modern Warfare breekt franchise records • Gamingnation

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare sold more copies in the first year than any other installment in the series.

Publisher Activision recently showed it to her investors know that Modern Warfare has broken records. However, the company did not disclose specific numbers, but did say that two-thirds were purchased digitally.

The company is proud to announce that the premium Modern Warfare and free-to-play Battle Royale Warzone has “more than three times” the number of monthly players (for the three months ending September 30) than the previous year. On PC alone, monthly players were up more than ten times year on year.

Daniel Alegre, Activision Blizzard’s president and chief operating officer, reported the following:

“On various platforms, hours played in the Modern Warfare universe were about seven times higher than the previous title. We saw another significant year-over-year growth in premium game sales as Warzone players chose to upgrade to the full Call of Duty experience. Modern Warfare’s freshman sales are the highest in Call of Duty history with two-thirds of units sold digitally and we see continued strength in the franchise’s revamped in-game system with console and PC net bookings four times over. are as high as a year ago. ”

Call of Duty Modern Warfare came out last October and rebooted the series. Last March it was supplemented with the Battle Royale Warzone, which is immensely popular.

Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War may make an attempt to break these records next month. Although we are not completely convinced after playing the beta, this game does appear on more platforms.
