“I’m sure Cak Imin understands. Cak Imin has served as chairman of the party for almost 10 years. He has also been a member of the DPR since 1999, has been a DPR leader, and has also been a minister,” said Meutya Hafid to journalists, Wednesday (3/1/2024).

Meutya believes that Cak Imin’s criticism was aimed at Prabowo Subianto, who is currently Minister of Defense and presidential candidate number 2.

“I don’t think his statement was because he didn’t understand, but because he had other intentions towards the Minister of Defense who is currently a presidential candidate. Cak Imin knows exactly how we need defense equipment,” said the deputy chairman of TKN Prabowo-Gibran.

Therefore, Cak Imin’s criticism is seen as a form of Cak Imin’s inconsistent attitude in understanding defense issues. Meutya believes this is due to Cak Imin’s political choices in the 2024 presidential election.

“Perhaps this is a form of Cak Imin’s inconsistency since the presidential election, after the inconsistency with IKN. Maybe this is the political path that Cak Imin must take after promoting change in the 2024 presidential election. The public can judge for themselves,” he added.
