CABEI Increases Funding to El Salvador’s Road Conservation Fund to US$ 150 Million

Tegucigalpa, April 16, 2024.- he is Central American Bank for Economic Integration (CABEI) increased up to US$ 150 million to the line of credit of the Road Conservation Fund (FOVIAL) of the Republic of El Salvador to support the state agency in its work to preserve and improve the country’s road infrastructure.

The funding will be used to meet the working capital needs of the independent company, with the credit line reaching an amount of up to US$ 250 million.

CABEI has historically supported the country with programs and projects aimed at the infrastructure sector with the following initiatives: Road Infrastructure Linkage Program for Development, Road Extension Project to Port La Libertad Sections II and III and the Construction of Bridges over the Anguiatú and Paz Rivers, and the CA01W Viaduct Construction and Road Extension Project (Los Chorros Division).

This intervention will have a positive impact on the country, both in economic and social aspects due to the creation of jobs and the execution and maintenance of road infrastructure projects.
