Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – The exchange rate of the rupiah against the United States dollar (US) moving strong in spot market trading today. Again, good news about the development of the corona anti-virus vaccine (Coronavirus Disease-2019/ Covid-19) brings optimism to world financial markets.
Today, Tuesday (11/17/2020), US $ 1 is equivalent to IDR 14,000 when the spot market opens. Rupiah strengthened 0.71% compared to the previous day’s closing position.
Yesterday, the rupiah closed spot market trading with a 0.35% gain against the US dollar. The Indonesian currency does not want to stop ‘running’, even though it has left its neighbors so far.
Since the beginning of the third quarter of 2020 until yesterday, the rupiah has appreciated 4.99% in front of the US dollar. No other major Asian currency can match the achievement of the rupiah.
