The couple wanted a bigger house in their hometown of Haarlem and placed full responsibility on Martijn Krabbé and his team. They enthusiastically started the adventure, in which they also explore the surrounding area – because of the high prices in Haarlem. When the team has bought a house, it is time for the now well-known tour.
“We drove past many different houses. We were able to cross off some of them right away. The houses we passed in Heemstede, for example, were far above our budget. It was an exciting ride and I never guessed the outcome,” she tells. LINDA.

A week later the time has come and they can view the house in Haarlem that they have bought. Once in front of the house, which still has to be styled and renovated, they are shocked: they immediately call it ‘a tombstone’. “It was on a beautiful street, but it was more than ninety square meters. We only improved ten square meters with that.” And extra space was exactly what they were looking for. “We had outgrown our apartment.”

No matter how beautifully the house had been renovated, they didn’t like it. The couple says to LINDA. thank the team for all the effort, but put the house up for sale a day after they got the keys. “That caused stress. We had two houses to our name and we were in the middle of the lockdown. What would happen to the housing market?” Yet it is Buy Without Looking-house sold in a few weeks and they are now living in their 155 square meter home in Nieuw-Vennep. “There are still things we want to do here and there, but we live beautifully.”
