Cabinet wants price increase for cigarettes

The Hague – If it is up to the government, smokers will face a huge price increase for cigarettes. State Secretary Maarten van Ooijen (Public Health) thinks of a price of 30 to 47 euros per package in 2040. He is aiming for a discouragement policy following the Australian example.
