GIMNI Executive Director Sahat Sinaga said businessmen were disappointed with the government’s decision. Because they have waited a long time for this policy to be implemented. Not to mention, they have spent a lot of money for implementing policies.

“Disappointed that many GIMNI members have invested in packing machines, so had to bite his finger again, “explained Sahat to CNNIndonesia.com, Monday (13/12).

“So everything is left to the market mechanism,” he said.

Previously, the Director General of Domestic Trade of the Ministry of Trade, Oke Nurwan, had announced the cancellation of the ban on the sale of bulk cooking oil.

The cancellation was carried out because this prohibition has the potential to be the fruit of simalakama in the midst of the covid-19 pandemic that suppresses the community’s economy.

“The condition seems to be the fruit of simalakama because of the pandemic, because of the supercycle, etc. Under normal conditions, it might be a different story,” said Oke.

This is because this policy can reduce the purchasing power of the community and MSMEs. However, he could not confirm whether when the pandemic conditions ended, this policy would begin to be implemented or not.

“In the era of national economic recovery, we have left it behind. We will try to use another approach, namely education,” he said.
