Bungie sues streamer accused of fraud, cheating and harassment

Luca Leone (known on Twitch as miffysworld) is in Bungie’s crosshairs, which has filed a lawsuit in which he accuses the streamer of harassment, fraud, cheating and violating Bungie’s legal rights over Destiny 2.

According to the VGC, his conduct makes it easy for Bungie to take legal action, especially since Leone has been banned several times from Destiny 2 for using illegal software to indulge in cheating.

“Leone has already created 13 different accounts to try to evade the sanction and each new account represents a breach of the software license agreement, through which Bungie makes Destiny 2 available to all players,” says the company.

Furthermore, Bungie alleges that Leone has already threatened Bungie and its employees, commenting on social media that he would love to “set fire to Bungie’s offices” and even declaring that certain employees were not safe.

Bungie goes further and says that Leone is part of a forum, called OGUsers, dedicated to piracy and account selling, being accused of selling Destiny 2 social media accounts and game emblems.

The company is now asking for $150,000 for each copyright infringement and up to $2,500,000 for each time Leone used cheating software. In addition, he asks Leone to definitively stop harassing and threatening his employees.

This is the latest legal case that Bungie is involved in as it tries to fight the creators and sellers of cheating for Destiny 2.
