The controversy over Microsoft’s purchase of Activision Blizzard is likely to have made us forget that Bungie, responsible for Halo and Destiny 2, was bought by Sony for an exorbitant amount $3.6 billion. However, it was a fine print acquisition: Bungie will operate independently and Destiny 2 will remain in their hands. They learned from Activision.
Destiny 2 it seems to have no end (and hopefully it doesn’t) with the current Season of Seraphimthe latest expansion for The Witch Queen, and the upcoming release of Eclipse expansion. This might make you think that Bungie doesn’t have time for other projects… but it doesn’t.

Curiosity: the missing license plate belongs to Beyond the Light or Beyond the Lightwhich marked a before and after in the game as Bungie regained full control of Destiny 2. Some fans have theorized that it could mean something, but the simple answer is that Farnsworth’s children are a bit mischievous.
In any case, Bungie is working on it unannounced new projects with support from Sony. It’s no secret that PlayStation’s weak point is online games and games as a service. We already know that none of these projects are Destiny 3 and that Bungie will not be abandoning Destiny 2 under any circumstances. It is not excluded that some have to do with Destiny.
