Builders have completely restored the Crimean Bridge connecting the Krasnodar Territory and annexed Crimea. This was announced by Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Marat Khusnullin.
“The whole job took less than three months! During this time, two damaged spans were dismantled and new ones were installed,” Khusnullin wrote in a telegram.
According to him, work to restore the bridge was completed 18 days ahead of schedule. Car traffic is open on all four lanes.
Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Russian troops into Ukraine, two explosions have occurred on the Crimean Bridge – on October 8, 2022 and July 17, 2023. The explosions were carried out by the Security Service of Ukraine. They died due to the first explosion four person, and one of the branches of the automobile part of the bridge partially collapsed. Soon the FSB reported that eight of the 12 suspects in this case had been detained. As a result of the second explosion on the bridge, a married couple in one of the cars was killed, and their 14-year-old daughter was injured. The automobile part of the bridge was also damaged.
