The 22-year-old player, who is ranked 377th in the world, easily defeated Yevgenia Rodinova of Russia 6:3, 6:0 in the first round and followed up with two wins from the qualification.
Another Czech representative, Tereza Martincová, will not appear at the tournament due to an injury. She withdrew from the competition just before today’s first round match with Australian Darja Saville due to problems with her left leg.
