It was already included in the Brussels coalition agreement, but now it is really there. Fossil fuel cars – petrol or diesel – will no longer be welcome in the Capital Region from 2035. This will even apply to diesel from 2030. “People now have enough time to make that switch,” it sounds. Can you still enter as a commuter? And what about other low-emission zones (LEZ) in Flanders?

What was decided?
It was already known that in 2022 only diesels with a Euro standard 4 would still be allowed in the capital. These are mainly models built after 2011. And from 2025 you can Brussels …
