In April of this year, the current president of Cencosud and daughter of Horst Paulmann, Heike Paulmannrequested an authorization to donate $3.2 million to each of his four childrenthat is, 12.8 million dollars in its entirety.
In that sense, it is that their children could receive 2,631 million pesos each. However, now two other sons of Horst Paulmann -Heike’s brothers- They started a similar process.
According to the information provided by the Financial JournalBrothers Manfred and Peter Paulmann legal proceedings have already begun to transfer 20 billion pesos to their children.
For his part, Manfred could donate to his three children the sum of $4.3 million each. Meanwhile, Peter, who also has three heirscould transfer a similar amount.
According to the aforementioned media, the lawyer Manuel Jose Mayorwho advises the children of Horst Paulmann, explained that the donations “will make the declaration and payment of the tax that affects donations“.
It is relevant to note that Horst Paulmann began his empire around the 1960s, and 10 years later he managed to debut with the first jumbo supermarketto later continue with Paris, Santa Isabel, Easy, among others.
Currently, Cencosud -a multinational business consortium- operates in Chile, Argentina, Peru, Colombia and Brazilhaving more than 100 thousand collaborators in its markets.
