Broken rail: Wednesday only trains between Den Bosch and Oss

Rail traffic between Den Bosch and Oss will not resume until Wednesday morning. This was reported by a spokesman for the railway operator ProRail. A rail on which trains run has failed at a level crossing in Rosmalen. As a result, no trains have been able to run since Tuesday morning. Damage repairs cannot begin until Tuesday evening. It is unclear how the damage occurred.

Rail traffic on the route will resume on Wednesday. At the start of the day, only one Sprinter will drive every hour.

The NS uses express buses between Oss and Den Bosch. Stop buses also run between Oss, Oss West, Rosmalen, Den Bosch Oost and Den Bosch stations, although it took some time for replacement transport to become available.

Troubles have not yet wreaked havoc at Oss station. Around half past eight, about twenty travelers were waiting at the buses for Den Bosch and Eindhoven.

“It’s faster than taking the train to Utrecht or Arnhem and then to Eindhoven or Den Bosch,” says one. The advice of the NS is to take the train, in the worst case you will be traveling almost an hour and a half longer than usual.
