Broadcasting ZWART comes with its first TV program Podium ZWART | NOW

Omroep ZWART will make its TV debut on May 27 with the music and culture program Stage BLACK† The program is “a festive gathering of different music genres, art styles and stories”.

Presenting Glen Faria and Veronica van Hoogdalem Stage BLACKwhich wants to take the viewer into the world of music and culture “as it has never been done before on Dutch television”.

Every week artists get the stage, where they show their talent in different settings. In addition to R&B and hip-hop, genres such as afrobeat, latin, reggae and jazz are discussed. Both international stars and emerging artists pass by.

In addition, well-known Dutch people such as Jörgen Raymann and Tanja Jess are challenged to express themselves in the art form spoken word, which is unknown to them.

“It is actually very strange that there are so many talented artists in the Netherlands that you do not or very little see in the media,” says co-founder of Omroep ZWART Akwasi.

“Some of these artists have huge international successes, but are underexposed in the Netherlands. We are now going to offer that talent a stage.”

The aspiring broadcaster Omroep ZWART, co-founded by Akwasi, had recruited a total of 50,000 members by November 2020 and complied thus meeting one of the most important criteria for aspiring broadcasters to receive broadcasting time in the public broadcasting system. Last year the aspiring broadcaster reported to go collaborate with BNNVARA.

Stage BLACK can be seen on NPO3 on Friday 27 May 2022 at 10.45 pm.
