The 11th graders at the Franz-Ludwig-Gymnasium in Bamberg are organizing a blood donation campaign together with the BRK today.
Motto: “Help us!”
Under the motto “We want to help: Help us! Donate blood!”, the high school students are organizing a public blood donation campaign for the fifth time.
Good health requirement
Anyone between the ages of 18 and 72 can donate blood. The basic requirements for being able to donate blood are good health and a minimum weight of around 50 kilograms. In addition, no alcohol may be consumed for at least twelve hours before donating blood, and each donor should have eaten and drunk enough.
The actual blood donation takes only ten minutes, but blood donors should allow an hour including registration, a short break and free snacks.
