According to Britt Dekker, there is often behind-the-scenes misconduct in the media world. “There are many who have behaved like this,” says the presenter Avenue RTL in response to Volkskrant’s article on “transgressive behaviour” by, among others, presenter Matthijs van Nieuwkerk at The World Keeps Turning (DWDD).
Dekker says they’re people we “all” know, but thinks it’s not up to her to let those names out. But there are still many more to come.”
The host herself, who has joined several times as a table lady DDD, did not notice the unfortunate situation according to several former employees. “Guests never got anything. They arrived at 6pm and got a bowl of fries, because that’s what I always asked for. So you never try anything.
Behind the scenes
Dekker really thinks the stories are “super bad,” but he also thinks it’s good that the news got out. “The whole problem is that it all happened behind the scenes,” he says. “You can’t go scream and make people sick.”
The fact that do DDD ‘top sport’, the presenter makes no excuse for Van Nieuwkerk to treat others like this. “Now I also do high-level sports with George and that is also difficult, but together we aim for the gold medal,” he says of his dressage horse. ,,He himself goes for the gold medal and the others don’t care and it’s not good. Then he is not the best of sport.
