The British Royals have shared their Christmas cards for this year via social media. King Charles and Queen Camilla chose an image from the coronation earlier this year, Prince William and his family are portrayed in black and white.
Every year the royal family shares that year’s Christmas cards via social media. While William and Catherine, the Prince and Princess of Wales, shared their Christmas greetings with a summer photo last year, this year they opted for a family portrait in black and white. The couple stands with the two princes George (10) and Louis (5) around Princess Charlotte (8) who is sitting on a chair. “Our family Christmas card for 2023,” William and Catherine write. The photo for the card was taken by photographer Josh Shinner.

Catherine and Charlotte wear a white blouse with jeans underneath. Princes William and George also wear white blouses, but have black trousers. This time only little Prince Louis has bare legs. This has to do with a tradition among the British upper class. Unlike in the Netherlands, etiquette dictates that boys wear shorts in all seasons.
On Friday, William and Catherine and their children attended a Christmas concert in Westminster Abbey, organized by the Princess of Wales. Christmas carols were sung at the concert and attention was drawn to a special theme: care for children in their youngest years.
