British man died in Russian captivity

In April, the British citizen Paul Johnson Anthony Dominic Urie was detained while trying to pass the blockade at a checkpoint established by the forces of the DNR, the Ombudsman in Donetsk announced this morning. Uri died in captivity, and the cause of death was given as: “chronic diseases”.

Paul Ury participated in the hostilities of the country’s armed forces of Ukraine. “British officials have ignored the possibility of negotiating his return under prisoner exchange procedures. No Red Cross medical supplies have been made available. Paul Urie has been treated with the necessary medical care available, but “because of the diagnosis and stress, he rests on July 10,” reports the DPR ombudsman.

Uri was captured at the Zaporizhia border crossing on April 25 along with Dylan Healy, 22, a fellow British volunteer.
