British luxury brand Bentley produces 200,000th car | Car

The anniversary car is a Bentayga Hybrid, ordered by a customer from China. The oldest existing Bentley is the EXP 2, also the second car the company made some 100 years ago and the first to win a car race.

200,000 cars in a century may not seem like much to a carmaker, but the milestone is made even more special when looking at production figures over time. From the year of its foundation, 1919 to 2002, Bentley delivered approximately 44,000 cars. The rest of the cars have all been produced in recent years. Since 2003, when the Continental GT was introduced and a new era dawned for Bentley, more than 154,000 Bentleys have left the Crewe plant. Currently, the brand assembles 85 cars every day.

In November, Bentley announced his plans for the future. Bentley aims to operate as a fully CO2-neutral company by 2030. From 2026, the brand will only build plug-in hybrids and fully electric cars. In 2030, Bentley will switch to 100 percent electric drive.
