“Ukraine has a legitimate right to defend itself. It has a legitimate right to do so within its borders, of course, but it also has the right to use force outside its borders to undermine Russia’s ability to use force in Ukraine,” Cleverley said during a visit to Tallinn on Tuesday.

“So legitimate military targets beyond its border are part of Ukraine’s self-defense. And we should recognize that,” he added.

However, the British Foreign Secretary did not comment on the drone strikes on high-rise residential buildings in Moscow.

Russian media reported that drones crashed into at least three high-rise residential buildings in Moscow on Tuesday morning. There was little damage to the buildings, and no one was seriously injured, according to authorities.

It is not known where the drones came from, but Russian President Vladimir Putin blamed Ukraine for the incident.

The Ukrainian government denied the allegations.
