Cairo – Agencies:
The British low-cost airline, EasyJet, said it would resume flights between the United Kingdom and Sharm El-Sheikh resort in Egypt in June, after a hiatus of nearly five years, according to Reuters.
Last October, the British government raised a recommendation not to fly to Sharm El-Sheikh airport, which has been in effect since 2015, when a Russian airliner was bombed, killing 224 people, all of whom were on board shortly after take-off from the resort.
EasyJet said today, Wednesday, that as of June, it will operate two flights a week from Manchester to Sharm El Sheikh, and from September it will operate two flights from Gatwick in London.
