Successful catch-up

In their third competition of the season, the Oberliga gymnasts from TV Wolfenweiler-Schallstadt achieved their second victory. However, they were initially behind against WKG Wilferdingen/Nöttingen after two tackles. Then Thomas Rupp started the race to catch up with his best rings exercise so far. The preliminary decision was made on parallel bars: with their former second division gymnast David Speck, the people from Schallstadt achieved an outstanding 14 score points. In the end they drove in a clear home win with 46:20. The best point collectors were Philipp Häuber (14), Robin Vogt (8) and Rupp (7). On Saturday, 3 p.m., there will be a derby against TG Breisgau in the sports hall of the Johann Philipp Glock School in Schallstadt.

Gold and silver for Rogg

Johannes Rogg from SV Gottenheim (M 15) won two medals at the Baden-Württemberg winter throwing championship in Rechberghausen. In the discus throw, he managed a throw of 40.10 meters in the first attempt. No other competitor surpassed this distance. In the javelin throw, only Rogg’s fourth attempt was valid. The 35.65 meters measured here were enough for the silver medal in his age group.

Freiburg with fighting spirit

On the other hand, the first division bowlers of SG PTSV Jahn/Athena Freiburg held their own in the home competition against second-placed KV Liedolsheim. Above all, Jasmin Nübling convinced for the bottom of the table with a score of 600 points and a 3:1 win against Yvonne Schneider. Also noteworthy: Adine Riebsamen kept up with national player Saskia Seitz until the last clearing, then lost with 568:583 cones. In the end, Liedolsheim won 7-1 in the Heinz-Rösch-Halle (3447:3223). The season for Freiburg runs until mid-May. In the second Bundesliga, DKC Waldkirch lost 6-2 to leaders SKK 98 Poing II. Jana Wittmann (3:1), Katja Francz (2:2) and Andrea Martin (1:3) provided the six set points in Waldkirch. The game went to Poing with 3300:3024.
