Outdoor first aid

The DRK district association is offering an “outdoor first aid course” on Saturday, June 18, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Meeting point is at the Burgweg in Sexau at the hiking car park. During the one-day basic course, the use of aids for transport is also practiced. Weatherproof clothing and good shoes are a must for this course, according to an announcement by the DRK district association. Prerequisite for participation is first aid training, which should not be more than two years old. In 2022, over 80 million people will be displaced worldwide. World Refugee Day, established by the United Nations in 2001, is celebrated annually on June 20th. That’s why the bells will ring at 6 p.m. in the district on this day. They invite you to pray alone or in community. In Freiburg, a cumenical service begins in the church of Sankt Martin at the town hall, to which everyone is invited. The joint campaign is supported by the Protestant and Catholic church districts of Freiburg, Breisgau-Hochschwarzwald and Emmendingen. The ringing of the bells was initiated by the Caritas Association Freiburg and Breisgau-Hochschwarzwald, the Diakonisches Werk Breisgau-Hochschwarzwald and Emmendingen as well as the Protestant and Catholic deaneries in Freiburg.
