From Sunday onwards, the Breisgau S-Bahn will run again according to the regular timetable. Right at the start, new trains with two floors are to be used between Freiburg and Breisach.
From Sunday on, halfway normal public transport times will begin again. Then the Corona timetables introduced in March end with their reduced number of connections. For S-Bahn 1 between Kaiserstuhl and the Black Forest, the schedule that was set up on February 17 will largely apply again. There are additions to school days in bus transport, since significantly more students return to school after the end of Pentecost holidays than before due to the corona restrictions.
For six days, Deutsche Bahn had maintained the track bed of the electrified railway line between Breisach and Freiburg last year and compacted the then newly installed ballast. At the start of the new timetable, which will last until the major timetable change on December 12 …
