Due to the many cancellations and delays on Breisgau S-Bahn routes, the state has announced compensation. The applications for this can now be made.
Breisgau S-Bahn users can now apply for compensation. The Breisgau S-Bahn started in December after extensive modernization work and a new concept. It was a false start. Due to the many delays and cancellations, users of the S-Bahn should get money back. The state of Baden-Württemberg had announced that applications for repayment could be made in June. The website is now available on which this is possible. “You have persevered. Now it is our turn,” it says on the corresponding page.
Customers who had a season ticket for the period from July 2019 to January 2020 and used routes of the Breisgau S-Bahn should be compensated. The ministry calls the connections: Breisach / Endingen – Freiburg – Donaueschingen / Seebrugg. In addition to monthly tickets, annual tickets, semester tickets and job tickets are also counted among the cards with entitlement to compensation, regardless of whether they were bought on the bus, at the machine, in a sales outlet or on subscription.
Submit evidence online
The application must be made online. In addition to address and account details, proof of an annual card or at least two monthly cards of the specified period is required. You will also be asked to provide proof of the amount paid, and a partially blackened account statement can be submitted here. Whoever bought the card bar should, if available, upload the receipt. The website says that applications will be reviewed within 21 days. If the application is checked positively, the repayment should also flow during this time. If the application is rejected, an explanation will be sent via email. If anything is unclear, applicants should be contacted.
