The images would almost make you dizzy. On the Albigna dam, located in the town of Bregaglia (GR), construction work on the first high mountain solar power plant is progressing. More than 1,200 photovoltaic panels belonging to the city of Zurich are being installed in the canton of Graubünden.

Installed at an altitude of around 2,100 meters, these panels will run along the entire Grisons reservoir of Lake Albigna, and thus make it possible to cover the annual electricity needs of 210 Zurich households.
