On Sunday, 18 new deaths from the coronavirus were registered, reports the FPS Public Health. A total of 88 people have already died. Hospitals now include 1,643 people, an increase of 290. A day earlier, the number had increased by 355 people. There are 322 people on intensive care, an increase of 32, but again a slight decrease compared to yesterday. Then 52 new patients on intensive care were reported. “We have the virus on the skin, it is important that we do not release it now,” said Steven Van Gucht of the Scientific Committee.
342 new infections have been identified, 173 in Flanders, 118 in Wallonia and 45 in Brussels. It is not yet clear where six patients come from. The total number of infections is now at 3,743. The FPS Public Health has noticed a decrease in the number of positive tests and the number of hospital admissions.
