At 11:00 in woodland in Aydos fire output. Many firefighters were sent to the scene upon notice. Firefighting and forest regional directorate teams started work to extinguish the fire. Fire fighting helicopter was also shipped to the region. The fire was brought under control in about 1 hour with the work done from the air and the ground.

On the other hand, a written statement was made by the Pendik District Governorate regarding the fire.
The statement said, “A fire of 1,6 hectares of forest area has been damaged, cooling works are ongoing. One person has been detained and a large-scale investigation has been launched due to the fire exit.”
