KOMPAS.com – The Persipura Jayapura vs Madura United match which was supposed to be held on Tuesday (1/2/2022) at 15.15 WIB was decided to be postponed.
The match between the two teams has been postponed due to 24 people who have tested positive Covid-19.

Sudjarno did not provide details on how many people from each club were affected by Covid-19. Regardless, he hopes both teams can accept this decision.

“The match between the two teams is scheduled at a later date,” said Director of Operations PT LIB, Sudjarno, during a press conference at Kompyang Stadium, Bali, Tuesday afternoon.
LIB will then provide further information regarding the determination of the new schedule after coordinating with PSSI, clubs, and TV Host Broadcasters.
Meanwhile, the other two matches that will be held today will take place as scheduled. The other two matches are Bhayangkara vs Barito Putera and Persela Lamongan vs Arema FC.
“Two other matches will still be held because the PCR results are negative,” said Sudjarno.
Covid-19 is indeed spreading in League 1.
Previously, players from Arema FC, Persija Jakarta, Persebaya Surabaya, Persib Bandung and PSM Makassar clubs were known to have been exposed to Covid-19.

Arema trying to maintain the top position
The Persela vs Arema FC duel is scheduled to take place at the Captain I Wayan Dipta Stadium, Gianyar, Bali, on Tuesday night WIB.
